New Delhi: The counselling process of students who have cleared National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test 2017 (NEET) exam is scheduled to start from July 3, Monday.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released NEET 2017 results on 23rd June.

Here are some important dates:

Registration and choice filling of subjects: July 3 to 11

Choice filling and locking seats: July 13 to 14

Counselling results: July 15

Report to colleges: July 16 to 22 (5 pm)

Second round of counselling

Registration and choice filling of subjects: August 1 to 4

Seat allotments: August 5 to 7 

Counselling results: August 8 

Report at allotted colleges for round two from August 9 to 16

NEET was held on May 7 for MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2017-18.

AIPMT Result expected date 2017:

NEET entrance exam is conducted for admission into state and national level medical, dental, AYUSH and veterinary colleges. NEET exam was first conducted in 2013 and then re-introduced in 2016 after several legal tussles. NEET was conducted in two phases in 2016. NEET 2017 results are expected on June 8.

CBSE will release the official answer key of the exam this month.

AIPMT final pass percentage:

The exam was conducted in a single stage that usually occurred on the first Sunday of May. The examination consisted of one paper containing 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology), having 45 questions from each subject. The exam duration was 3 hours. Each question carried 4 marks. For each incorrect response, one mark used to be deducted from the total score. However, no deduction from the total score was made if no response was indicated for an item. Indication of more than one answer for a question was deemed an incorrect response and negatively marked.

AIPMT Qualifying MarksThe result of AIPMT exam will be declared for only those candidates who will secure the AIPMT final pass percentage/ qualifying marks in the entrance exam. AIPMT score card will be based on qualifying marks secured by candidates in their respective categories. Candidates can check the AIPMT qualifying marks/ AIPMT final pass percentage for different categories from the table given below:

AIPMT result analysis

AIPMT result analysis: According to CBSE and AIPMT result analysis, the result has been declared only for those candidates who will score qualifying marks in the entrance examination. The minimum cut off marks to qualify AIPMT  entrance exam is 50% for general category candidates. The AIPMT result will have candidates name, roll number and marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. The result will also have candidate’s rank for 15% All India Quota Seats and seperate All India PMT rank.

On the basis of AIPMT result analysis, CBSE will prepare merit list of the eligible and successful candidates. Accordingly, candidates will be called in AIPMT counselling for admission to the 15 % of total seats in the Government Medical/Dental Colleges of India excluding Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir.

AIPMT Topper list

AIPMT Topper list: Central Board of School Certification has announced results for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2016 on August 16, for admissions to undergraduate medical programmes.

 According to the CBSE officials, “In general category, the topper has scored 685 marks out of a total of 720, while the last candidate qualifying for counselling process has obtained 145 marks in general category.” In general category, a total of 1,71,329 candidates have qualified for appearing in the counselling process. For OBC category, the candidates, who have scored in the range of 678 to 118, have qualified to appear in counselling for admission. As many as 1,75,226 OBC candidates have qualified for admission in UG programmes available across the medical and dental colleges of India.
